Continuing its annual custom, Patek Philippe has just launched a unique piece to benefit Activity for Children: the Nautilus Ref. 5711/1500A. Made entirely associated with stainless steel and fully etched, the Nautilus Ref. 5711/1500A is scheduled to be provided by auction, with all proceeds see the Geneva charity.
The engraved Nautilus may be the latest replica swiss Watches developed by Patek Philippe for the charitable organisation founded by Swiss investor Bernard Sabrier to help deprived children. Past Patek Philippe watches include the titanium Calatrava Pilot Travel Time ref. 5524T and last year's titanium ref. 5270T, that came with a green dial.
The case, bezel, band and caseback are all hand-engraved with a " Maori-style" design that complements the darkish grey dial. While numerous Nautilus models have showcased aftermarket engravings in the past, this is actually the first original example to become decorated in this way.
The Patek Philippe directory does include several complex buy replica watches adorned along with engravings, most notably the Atmosphere Moon Tourbillon ref. 6002, but they are all complicated to make in precious metals. This is the very first and only Nautilus (or sports activities watch of any kind) to feature an imprinted case, and the only metal model to feature engravings.
The watch includes a pair of matching engraved iron cufflinks, which are equally distinctive since Patek Philippe usually only sells cufflinks within gold.
